This is a wedding so fantastic, I had to break it up into two parts. Welcome to part one, day one, of Sheila and Pranav’s wedding weekend in gorgeous Newport, Rhode Island.

Sheila’s family is Catholic so the first day was filled with traditional American wedding celebrations, but Pranav is from India where a Hindu celebration can be a full weeklong affair, so they decided to honor each other by having one of each ceremony over the course of two days! On day one, Sheila looked stunning in her white gown with tulle and subtle beading. Pranav and his crew followed suit, looking very dapper. The Catholic Mass was followed by a trip to a cliffside mansion in Bristol and finally, a night at the Newport Art Museum. Sheila, Pranav and the bridal party prepared a special presentation for their guests to enjoy before a garden dinner at the art museum. The sculptural pieces adorning the lawn simply added to the excited chatter about the Hindu ceremony that was to follow the next day. Guests were invited to get henna tattoos in preparation for day two of celebrating. Stay tuned to see blog pt.II and the Hindu celebrations that followed…
