Cassandra and Patrick in Cabo San Lucas

Cassandra and I have been friends since high school, so I was ecstatic when she asked me to photograph her wedding…Then she told me she was having a tropical destination wedding in the dead of Northeastern winter, and I did a “Carlton”-esque happy dance!

Cassandra and Patrick were married on January 28, 2018 at the Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort and Spa in Cabo San Lucas. They love to travel and have visited Cabo many times together. They actually got engaged at the Grand Solmar where they were married! Patrick proposed in front of the gazebo over dinner and wine pairings. With such an idyllic backdrop, it was the perfect choice for their wedding venue.

They currently live in the Hamptons, New York where Cassandra is a pastry chef and Patrick works as a contractor. These two love to travel and have had some amazing adventures together. Three days before their wedding, Cassandra caught a 150lb Marlin, which they served to their family and friends at their rehearsal dinner!

I could not get enough of the beachy, elegent details throughout this wedding. The romantic colors and fabrics, the textures of the flowers…I mean, succulents in a bridal bouquet? Heaven.

The evening light could not have been more beautiful after their ceremony. After the celebration was over, Cassandra told me, “I think one of my favorite moments was when we were alone on the beach for our shoot. It really gave us a chance to let it all sink in and spend some time together before the party and I’ll always remember those feelings forever.”

I can’t say enough about the incredible experience at Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort. The coordinators, Erika and Angelica, made everything seamless, the food was delicious, and the music was fantastic. It was evident at the end of the evening that everyone had a blast celebrating together.

I was so grateful to be asked to share in this amazing day with my friend. Cassandra and Patrick have something really special, and their intimate destination wedding was an experience that their family and friends will never forget.
