When I met with Joelle and Brett for the first time, I instantly understood. I understood how they complimented each other, challenged one another, and most of all, I could see so clearly how much they adored each other. I knew right then that this wedding was going to be special.
We shot their engagement photos at Longwood Gardens and they choose Terrain at Styers for their wedding ceremony and reception. Being surrounded by natural beauty (and fitting right in,) I could feel the joy and love radiating from Joelle and Brett. They choose thoughtful and unique embellishments to put their personalities on display. Some of my favorites were the local honey from Joelle’s father’s farm that they gave as favors to the guests, wooden flowers that were used in the bouquets and boutonnières, and the custom newspaper that they made in lieu of a traditional program. Did I mention there were S’MORES?! Guests cozied up around the fire pits in chunky throw blankets and savored the best of the crisp fall evening, celebrating all the sweetness of Joelle and Brett’s love… s’mores in hand.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to share these photos with you. They are a labor of love for a couple that will cherish them and have plenty of stories to share as they recount their wedding day in years to come.
